Sam Kidson

Sam Kidson – Sales Manager (Auckland)

Sam has been with SmartRV since 2014 and manages the sales teams in Auckland and Christchurch. She says one of the highlights of her role is keeping in touch with motorhome owners. “They have this amazing lifestyle and all these wonderful adventures. I love hearing all their stories. I think it’s wonderful they’re out there doing this.” Sam says it is SmartRV’s customer service across its sales and after-sales teams that sets it apart in the industry. “We’ve all got the same vision and that’s to have people on the road living their dream.”

Arnie Gielens – Sales (Auckland)

Arnie was a SmartRV customer before he ended up joining the team in mid-2016. He bought a Bürstner motorhome from SmartRV after selling his own business, and quickly experienced what a wonderful lifestyle motorhoming offers when it comes to enjoying life and seeing more of New Zealand. He had enjoyed his dealings with SmartRV as a customer so much that he started working with the sales team and relishes the opportunity to share his passion with others. “Owning a motorhome changes people’s lives and I love doing that!”

Rob Ibbetson – Sales (Christchurch)

Rob has a background in building and real estate and started with SmartRV in November 2017. Hailing from Gloucester in the UK, he arrived in New Zealand six years ago and spent the first two years travelling the country. He loves SmartRV’s positive environment and being involved in such an exciting lifestyle purchase for customers. “It’s great to be part of that process and the journey towards that whole lifestyle change. I’m able to help people live their dreams as well as take the opportunity to keep discovering and exploring New Zealand for myself.”

Mark Baker – Sales (Auckland)

Mark joined SmartRV in November 2017 after a career spanning sales, management and commercial real estate. He is excited about helping people embark on a new lifestyle and says SmartRV’s company culture and customer service is second to none. “It’s the genuine drive to give people an unforgettable experience. The focus is to make sure that we do everything possible to make sure that the customer loves their holiday or loves their vehicle. And the after-sales care is remarkable – you really do become part of a family.”

Nandor Koekeny – After Sales Manager (Auckland)

Nandor manages SmartRV’s After Sales teams in Auckland and Christchurch. He joined four years ago after getting to know the company through his previous role with SmartRV’s supplier of professional vehicle cleaning products. He says the service customers receive after purchasing their motorhome is what sets SmartRV apart in the industry. “We all work really hard on our back-up service and goal of delivering customers’ dream motorhome lifestyle. And thanks to our specialised service centre we can offer additional special products too, like Goldschmitt Air Suspension.”

Clinton Braun – After Sales Representative (Christchurch)

Clinton came to New Zealand from South Africa after a long career in the car industry with GM Motors and Ford, and has been with SmartRV since early 2016. He relishes the challenges his role can sometimes present. “I'm a problem solver. Any issue that we as a Christchurch team can get sorted as quickly as possible is a massive victory. I love the appreciation people have for us getting them back on the road to enjoy their time away in their motorhome. It's not a job to us and the customers can see that every time they deal with us.”

Andre Witzel – After Sales Representative (Auckland)

Andre has a background in logistics management which stands him in good stead for helping customers in his after-sales role at SmartRV, which he has been in since June 2017. Originally from Germany, Andre arrived in New Zealand with his partner in March 2017 and the pair spent five weeks travelling the length and breadth of the country in a motorhome, covering 7,000 km. Andre says he loves the connection with people that his role offers. “It is a privilege working here as it makes you feel special and I am proud to feel part of a real family. At our Service Centre we strive to get you what you need - no matter if it is a special part or any extra or accessory - we aim for your best solution.”

Andrew Philip – After Sales Representative (Auckland)

Andrew joined Smart RV in mid-2016 after running his own travel agency in Cape Town. Caravanning was a big part of his childhood and he then had two of his own in South Africa. His parents are onto their third motorhome so it is a lifestyle close to his heart! Andrew enjoys the satisfaction he gets from making customers genuinely happy and believes it is the service levels at SmartRV that set it apart in the industry. “We are able to maintain a very high standard of service and can arrange assistance almost anywhere.”
